Emmy® award winning documentary maker, poet and playwright, as well as mother of actors Virginia and Michael Madsen and their writer/restauranteur sister Cheri. Elaine is working on a new book of poetry and directing a documentary titled I Know a Woman Like That, which Academy® award nominee daughter Virginia is producing. She is also the coordinator for the playwright directing unit of The Actors Studio.
